The Nairobi Animal Orphanage, located within Nairobi National Park, serves as a sanctuary for injured, orphaned, or abandoned animals. Established in 1964, it provides care and rehabilitation for a wide variety of species, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, monkeys, and rare birds. Visitors can learn about wildlife conservation while getting up close to these animals, many of whom are being prepared for release back into the wild. The orphanage offers an educational and enriching experience, highlighting Kenya’s dedication to protecting and rehabilitating its wildlife.
