Day 1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Pick up at your hotel and drive to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy where you will arrive in time for check in and lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive with the opportunity to view the big five, as well as some of Kenya’s usual plains animals. Spend some time at the marshland which is a favorite haunt for elephant and waterbuck and then return to your lodge, dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Rise early for a morning game drive and then return to the lodge for breakfast. You can choose to relax at the lodge, or continue searching for game and visiting areas of interest in the conservancy/you can organize with your driver. Ol Pejeta is a privately-owned wildlife conservancy. Originally a cattle ranch, in some areas you will still see wildlife and cattle grazing happily side by side. It hosts a wide variety of animals, including the ‘big five’, plus many bird species. On a clear day, and normally in the morning, you may have panoramic views of Mt Kenya and her snow-capped peaks. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta and drive further north, descending from the Laikipia Plateau to Kenya’s arid north. Proceed to your lodge in Samburu National Park for check in and lunch. In the afternoon enjoy your first game drive in the park. Return to the lodge, dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 4: Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast you can choose to relax at your accommodation or undertake a full day game drive in Shaba or Bufallo Springs/you can organize with your driver. The landscape is spectacular and the semi-arid savannah has vegetation made up of palms, woodland along the river, acacia woodland and dusty scrubland. Bird life is also abundant here with different species of eagles, pygmy falcons, sand grouse and large flocks of crazy guinea fowl, dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 5: Samburu National Reserve – Nairobi
Enjoy your breakfast,get ready and pack /check out. Depart for Nairobi,drop off at your hotel/ Airport. End of service.
