Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park
You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and depart for Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and oldest parks, famous for its red elephants and vast savannah. Upon arrival at Buchuma Gate, you will enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, where you may spot lions, cheetahs, zebras, and elephants. After checking in at your lodge or camp, such as Ashnil Aruba Lodge, Voi wildlife lodge or similar, you will have lunch and relax. Later in the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive to explore Lugard Falls and the Aruba Dam, known for attracting a variety of wildlife. The evening will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, you will depart Tsavo East and head to Tsavo West National Park, passing through the scenic landscape that links the two parks. Tsavo West is renowned for its dramatic scenery, including volcanic hills, rock outcrops, and the iconic Mzima Springs, where you may observe hippos and crocodiles from the underwater viewing chamber. You will enjoy a mid-morning game drive and explore the park’s stunning landscapes, including Shetani Lava Flow. Afterward, you will check in at your lodge or camp, such as Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge, salt lick safari lodge or similar, where you will have lunch and relax. In the afternoon, another game drive awaits, offering opportunities to see the park’s diverse wildlife, including elephants, rhinos, and leopards. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tsavo West to Nairobi
On your final day, you will set out for an early morning game drive, when the wildlife is most active, to maximize your chance of spotting elusive animals such as leopards and the park’s abundant birdlife. After breakfast, you will visit the famous Mzima Springs before departing for Nairobi. Along the way, you can enjoy additional wildlife sightings. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your 3-day Tsavo East and West safari.
