Mikumi National Park is one of Tanzania’s largest national parks, located in the southeastern part of the country, near the town of Mikumi. Spanning approximately 3,230 square kilometers, the park is known for its diverse ecosystems, which include savannahs, wetlands, and mountain ranges. Mikumi is part of the larger Selous Ecosystem and is famous for its abundant wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, and various species of antelope. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 400 bird species recorded.
