Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive north through the equator line to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive at Samburu Simba Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in search of elephants, lions, leopards, and the Samburu Special Five (reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx). Dinner and overnight at Samburu Simba Lodge.
Day 2: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve
Spend a full day exploring Samburu’s unique habitats on morning and afternoon game drives. You may spot cheetahs, crocodiles along the Ewaso Nyiro River, and numerous bird species. Lunch, dinner, and overnight at Samburu Simba Lodge.
Day 3: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving in time for lunch at Maisha Sweetwaters. In the afternoon, visit the endangered species enclosure to see the last two northern white rhinos and explore the chimpanzee sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Maisha Sweetwaters.
Day 4: Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, head to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive to spot white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and a variety of birdlife including flamingos. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at Mara Serena Safari Lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive across the savannah. Dinner and overnight at Mara sopa Lodge.
Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara
Spend the day exploring the Masai Mara’s rich wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives. Look out for the Big Five and other game species in one of the world’s richest wildlife regions. Dinner and overnight at Mara sopa Lodge.
Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast, enjoy an enroute game drive as you exit the park. Return to Nairobi in the afternoon where your safari ends. Drop off at your hotel or the airport.
