Bwindi Impenetrable national park is found in the south- west of Uganda and is not only one of the four gorilla trekking destinations but also with the highest concentration of these giant apes. For this reason , this park has the highest ever-recorded number of habituated gorilla families, currently standing at 20.
This 321-square kilometer protected area is also haven to over 120 mammals species, about 350 birds species, more than 200 butterfly species and tress of different species.

Detailed Itinerary of 3 Days Uganda Gorilla safari
Day 1: Kampala City – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your Uganda gorilla safari begins in Kampala where your driver/guide will meet you early in the morning. Embark on an 8-hour journey through scenic countryside, with stopovers at the Equator crossing for photography and Igongo Cultural Center for lunch. Arrive in Bwindi late afternoon, check into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and rest.
Overnight: Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury) / Mahogany Springs Lodge (Midrange)
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Drive Time: ~8 hrs (or 2 hrs flight from Entebbe + 1 hr transfer)
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off on your gorilla trek. The trek can last 1–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Once you encounter the gorillas, spend an unforgettable one hour observing and photographing them. Return for lunch, then visit the Batwa pygmy community for a cultural experience. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Kampala/Entebbe
