Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe by your professional safari guide. Enjoy a scenic drive through Uganda’s countryside with a stop at the Equator for photos and souvenirs. Proceed through rolling hills and lush plantations, stopping for lunch in Mbarara town. You’ll arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park by late afternoon. After check-in at your lodge, head out for a short evening game drive to spot elephants, warthogs, antelopes, and possibly some predators beginning their nightly hunt. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi sector, which offers the best opportunities to see lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, and many other wildlife species in action. The early morning hours are ideal for photography and game spotting. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel—a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise provides close encounters with schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and a wide variety of birds such as pelicans, African fish eagles, and kingfishers. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Optional Visit to Katwe Salt Lake – Return to Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, you may opt for a brief visit to the Katwe salt mines, where locals have been extracting salt from the crater lake for centuries. Learn about traditional salt mining and observe local life. Afterwards, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe with a stop for lunch en route. Arrive in the evening, marking the end of your unforgettable wildlife adventure.
